Photographed at a local "cruise night" with my Z6 and Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro on an FTZ II at F5. Processed using Capture One 22 and DXO Filmpack 7.
The 4C was produced from 2013-2020. The US spider model weighs 2,337 lb. A "mini exotic," its 1.7 liter turbo 4 propels it from 0 to 60 mph in just over 4 seconds.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Concept was voted the 'Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year' award by the readers of German magazine Auto Bild, and won the Auto Bild Design Award 2011. It was awarded the "Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes" by referendum of the public in Villa d'Este.
In their 2015 road test of the 4C, Car and Driver wrote:
"Is the Porsche Boxster a better sports car? Yes. But if you really want the unfiltered sports-car experience, less weight, and hypersensitive controls, be prepared to tolerate the commotion of an unmuffled four-cylinder engine, a dual-clutch automatic, a barely adjustable seat, and a twitching steering wheel. Still want one? We understand completely. An Elise passed through these hands, after all. But consider yourself warned."
What they did not write, but is self-evident when you see one, is that the 4C is drop-dead gorgeous.
The owner is super nice, happy to talk about the car, and used to having it gawked at on the otherwise sleepy back roads of central Maine.
