The cast of Love Island 2024 will be pleased to know they have all been gaining plenty of Instagram followers since the show began. They can say a million times and more that they go on the show for love, but we all know the fame and fortune is the cherry on top of an already pretty desirable cake.
This year it’s been reported the current Islanders have been moaning to ITV about the social ban it has in place with them, because they haven’t been able to gain any Instagram followers. According to reports the Islanders are “furious” with ITV over the rules, that mean social media accounts of the Islanders remain dormant whilst they are in the villa.
But, all isn’t lost – they’ve still been steadily rising in the ranks of social fame. Here’s a ranking of the Love Island 2024 cast by who has gained the most Instagram followers so far. I’m not counting Joey Essex, because we all know where he sits.
9. Wil Anderson – 78k
Wil has now left the villa, so will no doubt see a huge rise in his following as people go to keep up with his life after the villa. Right now, he has 78k.
8. Nicole Samuel – 82k
Nicole started with just under 12k followers, which is pretty impressive for someone before the show. Now she has 82k, and is one of the most followed Islanders so far.
7. Jess White – 80k
Just dumped Jess is next, with 80k. As with Wil, her follower count will probably dramatically rise in the coming days as people rush to keep up with her. When she entered the villa, Jess had just 1k followers.
6. Ciaran Davies – 142k
Up next is Ciaran, making him the most followed guy in the 2024 series so far. He had 4k followers when he entered the villa, so has seen around a 3,000 per cent increase in his count since then. No biggie!
5. Matilda Draper – 145k
Matilda is also one of the most followed Islanders as it stands, just making it into the top five with 145k. When she entered the show she had around 10k followers.
4. Mimii Ngulube – 205k
Our gal Mimii is also in the top, currently with 205k followers. Obviously she’s one of everyone’s favourites in the villa, but the numbers do the talking too – she had just 3k followers before the show.
3. Grace Jackson – 288k
It’s literally Grace’s job to be good at social media, so it’s no surprise she’s high on the ranking. She had around 80k followers before she’d even stepped foot in the villa, and now has just under 300k.
2. Emma Milton – 315k
Emma is another Love Island 2024 Islander whose work revolved around Instagram before the show. The influencer had just under 300k followers before the show, so she hasn’t actually gained loads from the show – but it can’t be ignored that she has 315k now.
1. Uma Jammeh – 334k
Like we needed telling that queen Uma is the most popular Islander from the 2024 series so far. She’s seen a huge rise in followers since she quit when Wil was dumped, because we’re all clearly desperate to see what she does next. Right now she has just over 300k followers, but that number is rapidly increasing.
