NEW YORK, USA (AVING) -- The next generation Kia Optima (also known as 'Magentis' in some markets) will make its public world premiere at the New York International Auto Show, which opens on Friday 2 April 2010.A fresh design from the ground up, Kia's latest generation of its popular mid-size sedan is completely transformed and embodies a bold, athletic and sporty visual energy.Longer, lower and wider than the previous generation model, the new Optima features a significantly longer wheelbase and will offer more space for people and cargo. The next generation Optima will go on sale at Kia dealerships in the USA and in non-European markets from Fall 2010, while sales in Europe will begin in Spring 2011.

The Koreans are picking up their design queue pretty well from the Europeans. I never like Korean designs and they were all a joke of ill result of badly pirated copied product.
I do see a change in it starting from the Forte and now the Sonata. Saw one of their new MPV lately.. not bad if u ask me. :top:
Engine dunno la..

The Forte was designed by a gwai-lo, a far departure from the quirky designs of yesteryears... As for the engines, on paper, they look pretty good.... The 2.0L engine for the Forte has 156hp, similar to the Lancer GT...

proton is currently run by a bunch of overpaid snobs who know nuts about automobile essence and international marketing.

that sounds like a good company to work for; i don't know much about automobile and international marketing so should qualify for a high paying position there!
