Best ways to clean foam generators? (2024)

That method should work to clean them. Hot water and any degreaser should do. I question why they need to be cleaned so often - what chemical are you running through them?

The major buildup mostly occurs in our Triple Foam Generators and our Hot Wax, which are both Stinger. These are the 552, 553, and 554 for the Low PH Polish and then 580 Hot Wax.

If you are using Hydrominders and flo jets to feed the Generators toss a swimming pool chlorine tab in the hydrominder tank. This may help keep any bacteria generated goop from forming as well as algae if the generators get a lot of sunlight. If you are not using that type of system try a tab in each generator.

stinger puts out great cars but i do remember we would have ridiculous buildup in our applicators and gunk up our reclaim system, neither of which i go with anymore. imo you shouldn't have to clean your applicators that often, every other week at most.

Another issue , particularly i n Warmer climates is bacteria generate scum. This will occur overnight when solution remnants sits in the fomers. A piece of copper pipe in the foamer could reduce this since copper has some anti bacterial properties.
